Value-Worth

How much is our human body worth? Just think about it, our bodies are almost 60 percent water —the brain being particularly watery with 73%— the rest is calcium and other minerals that can be found in the dust of the ground. Thus, in reality, our material bodies don’t worth that much if seen from a molecular perspective. But Jehovah took the dust from the ground and gave it life; then it became invaluable. And although it is very difficult to successfully modify the human genome, our life —which is the soul that we are with our inner person— can be molded by God if we allow him to do so.(https://water.usgs.gov/edu/propertyyou.html)

If we visit a foreign country, we may see prices in a currency other than the one we are used to. Perhaps we see a price and at first we think is a good deal, but after converting to our currency we quickly realize it's a ripoff! Likewise, the world's currency is different from that of God's people. We give value to different things. Whenever we see or hear any opinions from Satan's world on education, lifestyle, work, family, etc. we need to convert it to a spiritual currency and see how much that counsel is going to cost us spiritually.

One man's trash can be another man's treasure. So goes the saying. An empty can that for most people is mere garbage can mean sustenance to the homeless. Likewise, some spiritual things may be reckoned as trash by the world, but as a treasure to us. For instance, pioneer service and faith in the Bible are a treasure to us while for the world are worthless. The fact that Jehovah holds in high regard spiritual things is what gives us the confidence to see them as a treasure, regardless of the world’s viewpoint.

Values

Time magazine reported millennials have different values than their parents. How come values can change so radically from one generation to the next? Values based on the Bible don't change and are timeless. Which values do you trust? (http://time.com/4748357/milennials-values-census-report/?xid=homepage)

Veil over the good news

When we hear the word 'veil' probably a wedding veil comes to our mind. Do you know what's the longest wedding veil in the world? The longest wedding veil is 6,072.23 m (19,921 ft 11.73 in) achieved and worn by Vivian Shun-Wen Cheng (Taiwan) for her wedding ceremony in Taipei on 10 December 2016. It took a team of three people over three months to make by hand, only just completed in time for the big day. The bride was assisted by a team of volunteers helping to hold the veil up. Walking down the aisle wasn't easy but with patience, she made it to the altar! Of course, we don't want to give any ideas to our sisters, but instead we want to bring into question whether or not this is the longest veil on Earth. What do you think? Well, according to the Scriptures, there is a veil that is blinding the minds of unbelievers all around the world so that they can't see the good news!-2 Cor 4:3, 4 (http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/longest-wedding-veil)

Vengeance

History tells that after slavery was abolished in some countries, some former slaves themselves became slave masters. They became the thing they hated. Usually, vengeance commands the avenger to become the thing he wants to revenge or something even worse. Christians need to trust that Jehovah will take vengeance for them. We don’t want to become the thing we hate. (http://www.snopes.com/facts-about-slavery/)
